Toutefois, il existe des comportements à adopter pour prévenir la manifestation du givre et réduire le plus possible ses conséquences sur le fonctionnement du système.
Il faut savoir que le givre peut provoquer des dommages à répétition sur le système au même titre que la glace. La consommation énergétique se voit de plus en plus importante ainsi que les frais d’entretien. La propagation du givre dans la chambre froide a un impact direct sur les performances de la machine.
La manifestation du givre a également un impact sur le bon déroulement de votre activité professionnelle. Il devient difficile de faire la lecture des code-barres ou des étiquettes lorsqu’ils sont recouverts de givre. Le professionnel aura donc du mal à réaliser les manipulations. En fonction du type de produit stocké dans la chambre froide, vous avez la possibilité de procéder à un séchage par atomisation. Cette méthode permet de protéger les produits contre le givre en l’empêchant de se former dans les emballages.
Le dégivrage de la chambre froide
Lorsqu’on parle de dégivrage, il s’agit surtout du dégivrage de l’évaporateur. C’est une opération nécessaire dans l’utilisation de la chambre froide. Ne pas dégivrer régulièrement entraine une forte baisse de la puissance frigorifique et par conséquent la constitution de la glace dans l’évaporateur. Le dégivrage de la chambre froide s’effectue en différentes étapes.
Arrêter le fluide frigorigène
Au prime abord, vous coupez l’alimentation électrique de la vanne magnétique. Celle-ci se ferme et la Basse Pression (BP) dans le compresseur chute. Une fois que le seuil de BP défini sur le pressostat est atteint, le compresseur va s’arrêter.
Si le système ne possède pas de vanne magnétique, alors le compresseur est directement relié à l’alimentation.
Arrêter le fonctionnement de l’évaporateur
À cette étape, vous allez procéder à l’arrêt de la ventilation au niveau de l’évaporateur. Cette action permettra d’éviter que la chaleur générée par l’évaporateur lors du dégivrage se diffuse dans la chambre froide.
Réchauffer la batterie pour fondre la glace
Ici, vous devrez augmenter la température de la batterie jusqu’à une valeur supérieure à 0°. Cela permettra de faire fondre toute la glace formée dans la chambre froide. Vous pouvez placer une sonde dans la batterie à la fin du dégivrage pour contrôler la température et pouvoir reprendre la production de froid.
Relancer le fluide frigorigène
Une fois que le givre a complètement disparu, vous pouvez relancer le fluide frigorigène afin de refroidir de nouveau la batterie. La réouverture de la banne magnétique permettra de reprendre la production de froid.
Relancer la ventilation
Ce n’est qu’après la réouverture de la vanne magnétique du système que les ventilateurs de l’évaporateur pourront être remis en service.
Si vous relancez trop tôt les ventilateurs de l’évaporateur, cela peut entrainer la transmission de la chaleur dans la chambre froide, voire même les gouttelettes d’eau qui sont encore présentes.
Une fois que tous les ventilateurs sont remis en marche, le cycle normal de refroidissement de la chambre peut de nouveau reprendre.
